NYC held the Playing Politics With Women's Health: The 2012 Election And Why It Matters event in Times Square on Friday and some great women leaders attended the Planned Parenthood symposium including Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal and America Ferrera. It is good to see great women stars not afraid to play with politics and the big issues. Read on for more pics from the event…

Also there at the event was Representative Shelley Berkley, Gabrielle Union and Cecile Richards,President of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. We often see stars embracing world affairs (think Angelina Jolie and human rights) but we rarely see celebs getting involved in national issues, particularly less “sexy” topics, such as the election. It is wonderful to see intelligent women, like Maggie Gyllenhaal (who is expecting a baby) and Julianne Moore getting involved in some of the issues facing the American population today. Go girls!
