Pink is the New Blog: Brangelina’s Kids Pressure Dad To Propose

Bookmark and Share

Earlier this morning we had news about Brad and Angelina’s parenting (they have prevented their kids from being able to Google them to protect them from all the media mayhem surrounding their parents). Now, more news about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Hollywood’s power couple – their kids really want them to get married. Brad interviewed with CBS Sunday Morning today and said that his six children are begging him to propose to their mom. Read on for more of the details…

This week we heard Brad reveal to The Hollywood Reporter that he is “ready to marry” Angelina, but that they have been waiting until everyone in the world has that same right.

“We’re getting a lot of pressure from the kids,” Pitt, 48, says. “It means something to them.” Pitt admits he hasn’t “been very good” at explaining why he and Jolie have put marriage on hold since first becoming a couple in 2005. “We will someday. We will,” Pitt promises. “That’s a great idea.” When his brood of six — Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Knox and Vivienne, 3 — asked him to “get mommy a ring,” Pitt vowed: “Okay, I will! I will.”

Perhaps, with his kids wanting it, Brad and Angelina will officially wed some time soon! I think it is pretty cute that the little ones are asking their dad to “get mommy a ring” but it does make me wonder what they understand about the situation. Do they grasp the difference between their mom and dad being committed to one another but not being officially married, and why do they want their parents to marry? I guess Maddox, Pax and Zahara are old enough to know what it means, in some way. Maybe they just think the whole thing would be a lot of fun (which is would!) and I guess they have seen rings/proposals/weddings on a lot of TV shows and movies… that is, if they watch TV and movies. OOOhh if we did have a Brangelina wedding soon that would be very exciting indeed!
