Is Britney Spears Collaborating With Madonna On One Of Her New Songs?

OK … now before we start getting all excited … let’s take the following information with a HUGE grain of salt. Yes, as the title of this post proclaims, there is a possibility that Britney Spears may appear on Madonna‘s new album M.D.N.A. … BUT, at this point the report is only a rumor and nothing official has been confirmed. It turns out that a supposed leaked version of the M.D.N.A. liner notes has surfaced that lists Britney Spears as the featured performer on the song Girls Gone Wild. Could it be that Madonna has enlisted her pal Britney Spears for MDNA? Well, according to a leaked album jacket, it seems that Spears is making an appearance on the album’s lead track, “Girls Gone Wild.” This would mark the second collaboration on the album. Madonna nabbed Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. for the album’s first single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’.” While the leaked jacket, which appeared on Britney fansite Breatheheavy.com, can’t be confirmed as authentic, a rep for Madge had no comment about the rumor, neither confirming nor denying it. Meanwhile, a rep for Spears never returned MTV News’ request for comment.

Yeah, my gut tells me that this is a totally faked image … but far be it for me to not pass along this bit of information on the off chance that it might turn out to be true. After all, we know that Madonna has an affinity for working with our dear Britney and we know that Britney has an affinity for performing guest spots on other people’s songs (remember her collaboration with Rihanna on S&M last year?). Madonna was a featured performer on Britney‘s song Me Against the Music so it’s possible that Britney is now returning the favor. At this point, this all seems like wishful thinking to me … but it is in the realm of possibility that this collab might actually turn out to be real. Last week, we got to hear a short snippet of Girls Gone Wild … do you think it’s really possible that she might be featured on the full album version of the song?
