Cruz David Beckham, the 3rd Beckham child, will be celebrating his 7th birthday on February 20 but it looks like daddy David Beckham has already started shopping for birthday gifts for the little dude. Becks and his eldest son Brooklyn Joseph were spotted making their way out of a Toys R Us store here in SoCal with big bags full of toys for Cruz. He’s got two of the most famous celebrities in the world as his parents, so it stands to reason that Cruz Beckham will be a little spoiled on his birthday. But judging by pictures of David and eldest son Brooklyn leaving the Toys R’Us store in Los Angeles loaded with shopping bags, the little boy has no idea just how lucky he will be when he turns seven on February 20th. David and Brooklyn were seen carrying at least five large shopping bags packed with goodies for the sportsman’s youngest son, including a Nerf bow gun, a Matai car and some Playmobil toys. However, while Cruz will undoubtedly be overwhelmed by the generosity of his parents on his big day, David said in a recent interview that his and wife Victoria’s four children don’t take their privileged lifestyles for granted. He explained: ‘It would be easy for our kids to sit back and not work for anything, but they’re not like that. They’re as competitive as Victoria and me. We’re very lucky with our boys. They want to win. They want to work at something. They know their values. That’s the way we’ve brought them up so far, and that’s the way we’ll continue to bring them up.’
You know, something tells me that this is just the tip of the birthday gift iceberg for sweet little Cruz this year. My guess is that he will be presented with a mountain of gifts to open on his big day … the lucky little scamp. In regards to Becks‘s assertion that his boys will work when they grow up, well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. It would be really nice if they did grow up to be hard working individuals but I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if they end up working as little as possible. For now, they’re all still kids … and lucky kids at that. I just hope the Beckham children really do appreciate just how fortunate they truly are.
