Vanity Fair does some amazing stories and photographs of our fave celebs. They are by all accounts, the most iconic magazine of the past few decades, arguably. They have put together their top leading men coverage over the past 2 decades. There are lots of the icons – Al Pacino, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Kevin Costner, Brad Pitt and more. Take a look through some of the pics dating back to 1989. Do you have a best of the best?
Kevin Costner covered their 89′ mag, and I have to say seeing him with a glass of scotch staring at the camera, oozing sex appeal, reminds me so much of that era in magazines. I also have a bit of a leaning towards the Michael Douglas 1995 cover…the subtitle reads “Michael Douglas Confronts Addiction, Sex, and Kirk’s Legacy.”Denzel Washington was also covered in the 95′ edition, and it is such a poignant reminder of how things have changed dramatically over the past 20 years.. his story reads “he is the one African American Actor on Hollywood’s A-list.”
I love this historical look through the covers of the past… check out the gallery below for some of my fave covers over the years in the Vanity Fair catalogue.
