TV Series ‘House’ Has Its Final Dose

With a heavy heart, I have to let you know that the TV series House is coming to an end. The producers announced that the final dose (pun intended) of the show will air in April. Read below to find out some more of the deets about the end of Dr House…

It has been going for 8 years and House has been a popular show since its debut in 2004. In ’06, it peaked with around 22 million viewers and earned two Primetime Emmy Awards. However, after the 177th episode in April, it will be time to say goodbye to the introverted, slightly twisted but brilliant Dr Gregory House.

Producers Hugh Laurie, David Shore and Katie Jacobs told Us Weekly, “The decision to end the show now, or ever, is a painful one, as it risks putting asunder hundreds of close friendships that have developed over the last eight years — but also because the show itself has been a source of great pride to everyone involved.”

The cast and crew of House, M.D. “will bid farewell to the audience and to each other with more than a few tears, but also with a deep feeling of gratitude for the grand adventure they have been privileged to enjoy for the last eight years.”

Oh, I hate it when shows end. It feels so final and the characters that you have grown to love over the years, that no longer feel like characters but old friends, somehow disappear from your life. I wonder if there will be some sort of spin-off series from House?

Also… any ideas about how they might end the show? Hmm….
